The Roulettes Cinema Club was established to allow friends of base employees to patronise the cinema by offering club members:

  • bulk purchase movie ticket discounts (10 adult tickets for the price of 8); and

  • an annual Kids Birthday Club voucher to cinema club members under 14 years of age or dependent children of club members under 14 years of age (entitles child to free matinee entry, a free small popcorn and a soft drink).

Whilst not providing access to the base, cinema club membership makes accessing the base easier for club members, upon presenting a suitable form of identification to the pass office and receiving a temporyary pass. It must be stressed that cinema club members are only permitted to access the base at publicised screening times and are only permitted to attend the cinema.

The Cinema Club Manager administers the Roulette Cinema Club.

Sponsorship. A RAAF East Sale service person or an on base employee who holds a permanent photographic identity pass can fill the role of cinema club sponsor. Sponsorship is terminated when the sponsor is no longer employed at RAAF East Sale. Under these conditions the club members membership will remain valid until renewal.

Membership. Membership is limited to 180 families/individuals and is open to any person over 12 years of age. Members are treated as honorary members and as such have not voting rights at the committee meetings. Passes are valid for 12 months.
